Sharing my world with watercolors and pencil sketches
I am from New Jersey and have loved to draw and paint since grammar school. I have been a free lance artist since 1981 when I made the decision to quit my insurance job (which was making me miserable and had no future) to paint full time.
My first sales were wildlife sketches in pencil, later adding color with a watercolor wash. Moving on to create layered wood Christmas ornaments and drawings of local historical buildings, I did local art shows for years. It was at one of these shows I connected with several gift shops and the “house portrait” was born.
I’ve been painting house portraits and pet portraits for more than 30 years and have enjoyed the challenge and satisfaction of creating work that makes people happy.
This is my first blog; I will be sharing some of my paintings as well as sketches of places I’ve been and things I admire.
